(1) Study Buddies!

They meet by chance outside of school in some cafe/library/bookshop and then become friends that support each other through assignments and exams and mean teachers and annoying classmates. It’s a friendship outside the court and I would love it if you could explore more of the high-school life beyond volleyball :D

Maybe they end up comparing essays and marking each other’s maths exercises? Or trading chemistry notes for history, or even just checking out the passerbys and leaving post-it notes in textbooks? They could turns to go on vending machine runs, memorise the closing time of local libraries, recommend stationery to each other etc. etc.

(2) Alternate Universe

I’m such a big fan of AU fics, especially there’s a little (or more than a little) world-building involved

• Sci-Fi/Future (e.g. Psycho-pass, ghost in the shell, star wars etc.)
• Hogwarts
• Office
• War (historical, current or future are all fine!)
• RPG (a la final fantasy, or… sword art…)
• Time Travel
• Ballet

(3) Post-Apocalyptic

I adore the sense of disquiet, silence, alienation that arises from this setting. The struggle of finding familiarity, the sudden loneliness when humanity disappears, the corrosion of cities, the empty, hollow memory of a past life - a fic that explores those themes is a fic I will love forever. How does the character(s) cope with losing what was theirs? Where do they do when society breaks down, the roads are open, and there’s no one to tell them what to do? Who do they meet? What do they find? What do they learn to love about this new world?


Misc

Here are some other things I’m passionate about in general, please feel free to incorporate as little or as many as you like! If the above prompts don’t click, feel free to take from the below!

• Jargon! Science words! Places! Labels! Little details! Name drops (docosahexaenoic acid?? mille feuille? Budapest? Mozart Horn Concerto No. 4? YES) A nerdy character ;w; (YES)
• Trains, planes, buses into nowhere. The feeling of traveling for the sake of the journey, not the destination.
• Music, in the background, in the foreground, I’m keen.
• Time. Time passing, time stopping, time being rewound. Character remembering the past, planning for the future, any acknowledgment of time in fic my heart will melt.
• Character development/growth, learning from mistakes, re-evaluating their opinion of others, etc.
• Non-Linear?! (if you want to experiment with that format, I encourage you with the fire of a thousand suns)
• Friendships with other characters, cameos! (especially if they’re subtle, I jump at them xD)

I don’t have any triggers or major turn-offs =w=, but I would appreciate it if you could avoid writing pure fluff and/or PWP! Other than that, plotless fics like character/relationship/environment studies are fine :D.
